Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an OEM Applications Engineer for Mechanical Systems. This remote role (US-based) partners with manufacturers to integrate Ingersoll Rand products into customer machinery. You will work with Sales and customers to design, document, and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving, and comfort working directly with customers. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required across North America.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or the mechanical service industry.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with technical documentation, drawings, and application advice during evaluation and design phase of new product development.
• Generate Kit BOMs and create new part numbers for kits and components.
• Drive new product idea generation and maintain technical files for customer applications.
• Engage on site with customers to support development activities, provide input during prototype testing, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Enhance the Sales Account Manager team with technical presentations and the selection of the right products and solutions for OEM customer applications.
• Support existing OEM customers while also developing new customers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
• Support the aftermarket regarding selection of rebuild kits, airend parts, and compressor system parts for OEM customers.
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
