Job summary

Athens Administrators is seeking a Telephonic Nurse Case Manager to support our Managed Care Department. The role can be located remotely from CA, CO, NV, TX, OR, ID, AZ, or OK if technical requirements are met, and follows a 9am–5pm Pacific time schedule.

You will assess injured workers, coordinate medical care, develop plans, and work with providers, employers, and adjusters to facilitate timely return to work and cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license from any US state required at time of hire.
• 3+ years’ workers’ compensation case management experience.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• CCM, CIRS, CRRN, COHN or related designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and review medical records to identify medical issues and provide recommendations.
• Maintain regular contact with all parties involved to coordinate medical and vocational management.
• Arrange for prompt and appropriate medical treatment with qualified providers.
• Schedule appointments to avoid delays in treatment.
• Develop written treatment plans for the injured worker with involved providers.
• Track progress with medical providers and adjust plans to achieve maximum improvement.
