Job summary

Athens Administrators is seeking a Telephonic Nurse Case Manager to support our Managed Care Department. This full-time role is remote and can be located from multiple states; it operates 9am–5pm Pacific Time, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities include coordinating care for injured workers, developing treatment plans, and ensuring timely access to services across providers. Ideal candidates hold an RN license with 3+ years of workers’ compensation experience, prefer Spanish language skills, and

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing
• 3+ years’ workers’ compensation case management experience
• Spanish language preferred
• Strong clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehab helpful
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient in documentation and reporting

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and identify issues; provide information and recommendations.
• Maintain regular contact with all parties to coordinate care.
• Arrange timely medical treatment with providers.
• Schedule appointments to prevent delays in care.
• Assist in developing treatment plans and coordinate referrals.
• Track progress and adjust plans to achieve maximum medical improvement.
• Coordinate with employers to develop modified duties when needed.
• Educate employers on benefits of accommodations and return-to-work planning.
• Research resources for catastrophic or chronic conditions and maintain case documentation.
