Job summary

Velocity is a fast-paced technology solutions and services company seeking Data NOC Tier 1 Technicians to join our team. This is an entry-level role within a 24/7/365 Network Operations Center.

The primary duties include monitoring networks, responding to alerts, troubleshooting basic issues, documenting steps in tickets, and escalating complex problems to Tier 2 while collaborating with on-site teams and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year of experience in IT support, networking, or customer service.
• Entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an obsession with excellent customer support and service delivery.
• Monitor automated systems, probes, alerts, trouble tickets, email, and phone queues for indications of network issues.
• Troubleshoot basic to mid-level network issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Accurately document all troubleshooting steps, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Coordinate with on-site technicians, carrier service providers, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure all tickets are handled promptly, accurately, and followed through to completion.
