Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates is seeking a Network Operator based in the White Plains area with remote work flexibility. You will oversee production infrastructure 24x7 and collaborate across IT teams to ensure maximum service availability.

The role requires strong Windows services, VMware, TCP/IP, and incident response skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment and to communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining Windows services in a virtualized environment (Exchange, SharePoint, DNS, DHCP, AD).
• Practical TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Experience administering VMware clusters in HA environments (Windows & Linux guests).
• Strong monitoring, event detection, incident response expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive service management and incident response to minimize end-user impact.
• Monitor health, performance and availability of production systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and environmental alerts.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate remediation with engineering teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, resolutions, and knowledge-base updates.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to drive rapid resolution.
