Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP seeks a Network Operator for its White Plains office (remote). The role supports the Firm’s production infrastructure that operates 24x7 to ensure maximum availability. The position requires living within commuting distance of White Plains, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. EST. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across WAN/LAN, servers, and applications, escalating when needed and maintaining detailed documentation

Qualifications

• Maintains and supports Windows services in a virtualized environment including Exchange, SharePoint, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, file permissions, and security.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking and monitoring.
• Experience administering VMware clusters in high-availability environments (Windows & Linux).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, switching, routing, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in proactive service management and incident response to minimize impact on end users.
• Monitor health, performance, and availability of computer systems using diverse tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and environmental alerts.
• Perform root cause analysis and escalate for remediation as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and internal/external resources to resolve issues.
• Triage alerts and incidents to maintain production IT infrastructure health.
• Follow SOPs for scheduled tasks and communicate with stakeholders.
