Eliassen Group is seeking a Network Operations Engineer / Network Operations Analyst for a remote contract position. You will provide real-time monitoring and incident response across a large enterprise network, focusing on eyes-on-glass operations, rapid triage, and clear communication in a 24x7 environment.

The role requires strong Layer 1–3 troubleshooting, BGP/VLAN experience, and coordination with ISPs and vendors. Shift typically 2:00 PM–11:00 PM ET with possible weekend after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in network operations or NOC.
• Strong Cisco exposure and 24x7 monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network health and respond to real-time incidents.
• Triage circuit and connectivity outages, including BGP, tunnels, and VLAN issues.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to drive resolution.
• Communicate status via emails, calls, and updates.
• Follow SOPs and maintain documentation quality.
