Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner to work remotely with a preference for Florida or the Eastern United States. You will support NEPA compliance across energy, disaster management, and transportation projects, collaborating with clients and senior staff to deliver timely, high-quality analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of professional experience.
• Experience leading or supporting project management teams is preferred.
• Experience with NEPA projects for Transportation and Energy projects is preferred.
• Experience with NEPA and environmental compliance related to FEMA or HUD projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions
• Support meetings with clients or stakeholders (agendas and summaries)
• Support permitting and compliance for energy, transmission, land use, and other NEPA-related projects
• Review NEPA documents prepared by contractors
• Review environmental components of applications
• Support the Project Management team
