Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner to support NEPA compliance for energy, disaster management, and transportation projects. The role is remote with a preference for staff in Florida or the Eastern United States, and flexibility to work from Tallahassee.

You will develop analyses for EAs/EISs, support client meetings, and participate in permitting and compliance tasks. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least two years of experience, with strong writing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, planning, policy, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading or supporting project management teams.
• Experience with NEPA projects for Transportation and Energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions.
• Support meetings with clients or stakeholders (agendas and summaries).
• Assist with permitting and compliance for traditional and renewable energy projects in NEPA contexts.
• Review NEPA documents prepared by contractors.
• Review environmental components of applications.
• Support the Project Management team.
