Job summary

Ryder is seeking a National Rental Customer Development Manager to retain and grow a national book of rental accounts across the West and Central regions. This 100% sales role focuses on profitability, wallet share, and consistent quota attainment while traveling regularly.

You will manage relationships at all levels, develop strategic plans for each account, and collaborate with RAMs to elevate the team’s capabilities. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of sales experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years or more of experience in sales.
• Prior experience as a Rental Manager, Rental Account Manager (RAM) or Business Development Manager (BDM) on the lease side preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Grows wallet share and revenue within assigned national rental accounts.
• Develops sales plans and a communication plan for each account.
• Schedules and leads customer meetings and builds relationships at all levels of the customer organization.
• Attends customer events and trade shows within the territory.
• Completes annual business reviews with assigned customers.
• Analyzes profitability and risks within each account.
• Partners with RAMs to develop their skills and growth.
