Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. This remote, field-facing role requires directing strategy, growth, and profitability while coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and product development to meet the needs of major data center operators.

You will build executive relationships across the industry, drive market analysis, and guide a high-performing team through rapid growth in a key market for HVAC

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sales or business development.
• 6+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading high-performing sales teams through rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators and hyperscalers.
• 5+ years of related experience in HVAC sales.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, trends, growth potential, and Daikin's position relative to competitors and needs of accounts.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy for Data Center vertical market, with updates to VP of National Accounts and leadership.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate Data Center team professionalism, scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with supply chain, manufacturing, service operations, and product development.
• Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, and visibility; identify speaker events and publishing opportunities.
• Team Management: lead Data Center experts, grow pipeline, hire/train, and coach for performance.
