Job summary

Daikin Applied, a global leader in HVAC, is seeking a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. You will set vertical strategy, drive growth, and lead a team to deliver profitable results across national accounts.

The role requires remote work with 50% travel, and coordination with VP of National Accounts, executive staff, and regional leadership. Strong executive relationships and strategic planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years people leadership.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, trends, and growth potential.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy for Data Center vertical market with updates to leadership.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate Data Center team, drive process improvements for customer experience.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with internal teams (supply chain, manufacturing, service ops, product development).
• Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, and visibility.
• Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts, grow pipeline, hire/train staff, coach performance.
