Job summary

ProviNET Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and support SMB client networks in a managed services setting. You will work across diverse technologies including firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, secure remote access, and monitoring.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, cross-technology collaboration, and delivering reliable network services for multiple clients. Remote work with periodic travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network engineering or network administration experience
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/subnetting, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, switching, routing and NAT
• Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPN solutions
• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking fundamentals and security concepts (ACLs, IPsec, SSL/TLS, zero-trust)
• Experience in SLA-driven environments with multiple client priorities
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate across teams

Responsibilities

• Support multiple client network environments through service tickets, escalations, maintenance, and project work
• Design, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless, VPN)
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, trunking, STP) and Layer 3 routing (NAT, inter-VLAN)
• Deploy and manage firewall platforms, security policies, VPNs, and secure remote access
• Support SD-WAN, ZTNA, SASE, SSE and enterprise wireless environments
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and cloud-connected networks
• Create and maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Client Care, Engineering, and Solutions Architecture
• Participate in assessments, onboarding, and project scoping
