Job summary

RedHelm is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a projects-focused role delivering network design, implementation, and support for MSP clients. The ideal candidate has 7+ years IT experience, including 5+ years in network engineering with deep Cisco, Meraki, and SonicWall knowledge, plus experience across Palo Alto, Fortinet, Extreme, and Aruba.

Remote work is eligible, with up to 50% travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and SonicWall.
• Experience across Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, and HP Aruba.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-class network infrastructure across LAN/WAN/WLAN and security.
• Configure and troubleshoot network equipment from Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Extreme, and HP Aruba; include Azure VP applications.
• Implement routing, switching, and wireless solutions for high availability, scalability, and security within projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives.
• Produce network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards per project scope.
• Participate in capacity planning, risk assessments, and network improvement projects.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
