Job summary

RedHelm is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our MSP-focused projects team. You will design, implement, and support enterprise networks across SMB and cloud environments, leveraging Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Extreme, and Aruba technologies.

Travel up to 50% is expected as projects demand, with priority given to candidates near Pittsburgh, Columbus, or Atlanta. You will mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco, Cisco Meraki, and SonicWall.
• Experience across Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, and HP Aruba.
• Strong routing, switching, and Wi‑Fi configuration skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance across SMB, cloud (Azure), and multi‑tenant environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-class network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN/security).
• Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment from listed vendors and virtual appliances in Azure.
• Implement routing, switching, and wireless solutions for high availability and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives.
• Produce network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
• Participate in capacity planning, risk assessments, and network improvement projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
