Trustmark National Bank is seeking a Retail Staff Underwriter II to support the retail and wholesale platform with underwriting decisions and guidance per GSE guidelines. This role involves managing a small pipeline and ensuring quality in loan decisions.

The position requires 5 years of underwriting experience with government-backed loans, DU/underwriting proficiency, and strong communication skills. Collaboration with originators and processors is key in this exempt 8am-5pm role.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years underwriting experience with FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, USDA and VA loans.
• FHA DE certification and VA SAR certification.
• Experience with DeskTop Underwriter (DU) system.
• Strong organizational, communication, and Excel/Word skills.
• College education preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist retail and TPO originators, processors with guidelines and income scenarios.
• Maintain a small loan pipeline to decision for final approval per underwriting authority.
• Review all appraisals for final approval including NOVs and USDA/HFS conditions.
• Stay updated and attend refresher training for investor guidelines.
• Review and respond to management for QC/QA exceptions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
