Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Technical/Business Analyst/Engineer to work remotely in a contract-to-hire capacity. You will develop and validate business and technical requirements for the Commercial Mortgage Data Warehouse, translate needs into SQL, and collaborate with data professionals in an Agile setting.

Ideal candidates have 5-7 years IT experience in BA/QA, strong SQL (Alteryx is a plus), Python for data work, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years IT experience in Business Analysis or Quality Assurance.
• Strong SQL skills with data analytics experience.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting is a plus.
• Experience with APIs or system integrations (REST, JSON) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and data modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.
• Own development of requirements for mortgage data warehouse enhancements.
• Translate business requirements into SQL statements.
• Analyze data to triage issues within the data model.
• Collaborate with data architects, sponsors, and IT teams in Agile environments.
• Analyze source system data to improve data quality.
• Identify data issues and propose practical solutions.
• Help automate data quality through business rules.
• Review application functionality and perform gap analysis for enhancements.
• Develop test plans and execute test scripts for changes.
• Assess feasibility of business requests and research options.
• Provide timely responses to business and IT questions.
• Track solutions and communicate impacts within the mortgage data model.
• Assist with scripting-based task automation and integrations.
