Carrington Mortgage Services-Retail Lending is seeking a mid-level Business Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain reports, analyze Mortgage Lending data, and support regulatory reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build dashboards, and ensure data accuracy.

The role emphasizes Power BI/SSRS/SQL proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to handle large datasets in a remote, fast-paced environment. Salary targets are $75k–$95k.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS).
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, and SQL.

• Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
• A strong working knowledge of residential mortgage lending data and/or terminology.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical queries and visualizations.
• Experience with Agile or project-based work environments (e.g., Jira).
• Experience developing and maintaining data dictionaries or business glossaries.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent job experience in business intelligence, report development, data analysis, data integration or information management. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Two (2) to four (4) years' experience as a Business Reporting Analyst I and/or similar role.
• A minimum of two (2) years in the Residential Mortgage Industry experience.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements as needed and ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting requirements (i.e., HMDA, Fair Lending Analysis, state, and federal required reporting) also assist in responding to findings and provide supporting data to internal committee.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform data validation and analysis of all reportable data to ensure accuracy and develop exception reports.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, SQL, etc.).
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Responsible for supporting the development of a data dictionary for Mortgage Lending data and properly documenting the procedures and process of reports developed.
• Provide training and support business users on reporting tools.
