Job summary

Beacon Talent is seeking a Closing Manager to lead and scale the mortgage closing function in a fast-growing environment. You will manage day-to-day closing operations, mentor a team of closers, and ensure loans move from clear-to-close through funding with accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the closing lifecycle, disclosures, TRID/RESPA/QM, and investor requirements, along with strong leadership and process-improvement skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mortgage closing experience.
• Leadership experience managing closers.
• Deep understanding of the full closing lifecycle from clear-to-close through funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of mortgage closers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Oversee daily closing operations and ensure loans move efficiently through the closing pipeline.
• Monitor pipeline volume, turn times, quality, and team productivity.
• Support closers with complex or escalated files and help resolve issues quickly.
• Review and oversee preparation of Closing Disclosures and closing packages.
• Ensure closing activities comply with TRID, RESPA, QM, investor, agency, and company requirements.
• Oversee funding processes and ensure closing and funding packages are complete and accurate.
• Partner with underwriting, processing, post-closing, sales, and operations teams to resolve issues and keep loans moving.
• Establish and improve closing workflows, procedures, and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve borrower and employee experience.
• Partner with product and technology teams to improve closing workflows and support automation.
• Monitor quality-control results and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Help build scalable closing processes and infrastructure as the organization grows.
• Stay current on changes to mortgage regulations, investor requirements, and closing practices.
