Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a seasoned Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators, driving daily operations and continuous improvement across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and collaboration tools.

You will translate strategy into technical roadmaps, coach staff, and ensure secure, scalable solutions while aligning with IT governance and security practices.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive experience in Microsoft 365, endpoint engineering, infrastructure, or related field.
• Three+ years of formal people-management or team leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience acceptable.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and major Modern Workplace disciplines.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and guiding engineers to resolution.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Modern Workplace engineers and administrators.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, automation, and device management.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex incidents and architectural decisions.
• Participate in technical discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Review designs, implementation plans, and procedures for quality, security, and scalability.
• Manage work intake, prioritization, and resource assignment.
• Translate strategy into roadmaps and delivery plans across platforms.
• Establish standards, practices, and accountability expectations.
