Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators. You will actively design, troubleshoot, implement, and escalate across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, automation, and related technologies.

You will report to the Director of Modern Workplace Engineering and drive platform strategy, governance, and service improvements while maintaining hands-on technical involvement.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in Modern Workplace technologies or related fields.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and multiple Modern Workplace disciplines.
• Proven ability to coach engineers and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Modern Workplace technologies.
• Escalation point for complex incidents and architectural decisions.
• Participate in discovery, design, configuration, and testing.
• Review designs, scripts, and procedures for security and scalability.
• Manage work intake, prioritization, and resources.
• Set standards, practices, and accountability across the team.
• Conduct one-on-one coaching and professional development.
• Identify skill gaps and foster cross-training and growth.
