Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators responsible for daily operation, engineering, and continuous improvement of Modern Workplace services.

You will stay hands-on across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, automation, and related tech while translating strategy into actionable technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive experience in Modern Workplace technologies.
• Three or more years of formal people-management or team leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and guiding engineers to resolution.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Experience reviewing technical designs, scripts, and operational docs.
• Demonstrated experience coaching technical employees and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Modern Workplace engineers and administrators.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, automation, and device-management technologies.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex incidents and architectural decisions.
• Participate in discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation when needed.
• Review designs, plans, scripts, configurations, and procedures for quality, security, and scalability.
• Manage work intake, prioritization, resources, and delivery across operational and project work.
• Translate strategy into technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
