Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking an On-Call Archaeologist to support cultural resource projects across the Midwest, especially Illinois and Indiana. This on-call role offers Illinois/Indiana focus with regional travel, flexibility to work remotely, and a commitment to safety and data quality.

You will conduct Phase I and II surveys, document sites, use ArcGIS field tools, and contribute to fieldwork and research across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field.
• Experience with Midwest archaeological practices preferred.
• Proficient in documenting archaeological sites and IOs/IFs in the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II cultural resource surveys.
• Document archaeological sites and IOs/IFs.
• Conduct probing or shovel testing.
• Use field technology and GPS for data collection.
• Travel within the Midwest region.
