Job summary

AECOM is seeking multiple Archaeology Technicians for the Cultural Resources team in the Midwest. This is a remote, part-time, on-call position, meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator. Immediate field projects needs will primarily be in Ohio and Illinois.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• 2 years of relevant archaeological fieldwork experience or equivalent.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
• May gather and maintain records of scientific data.
• Assists with calculations, sets up and operates equipment, inspects equipment and documentation for compliance.
• Collects and enters data and applies technical principles under supervision.
