Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel in Chicago, IL is hiring an Account Executive to drive new SME sales. This is an individual contributor role focused on delivering tailored travel management solutions and building senior-level client relationships.

You will conduct deep discovery, articulate ROI, manage a robust pipeline, and partner with internal teams to meet revenue targets. Up to 50% travel may be required; base salary ranges from $88,200 to $163,800 with a sales incentive plan.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience exceeding sales targets in a SaaS and/or Travel consultative environment.
• Drive new sales from prospective clients within a given territory and spend segment, with KPIs such as monthly sales and targets.
• Advanced proficiency with pipeline management and CRM, preferably Salesforce.
• Demonstrates a competitive, driven attitude, able to adapt and recover from setbacks.
• Focus on prospecting, presenting, contracting, and onboarding accounts, tracking the first 13 months.

Responsibilities

• Aggressive prospecting and documentation.
• Executive presence and relationship management to C-Level executives.
• Conduct deep discovery with CFOs and Procurement Leaders to present customized travel solutions.
• Understand P&L and articulate cost benefits of programs.
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline to meet targets and coordinate with internal partners.
