Job summary

Premera Blue Cross seeks a Membership Specialist II to perform complex enrollment, reconciliation, and billing reconciliation for Individual or Group accounts. You will work in Pacific/Mountain/Central time zones, handling enrollment changes, premium corrections, and inquiries with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and adherence to contractual guidelines, contributing to financial risk management and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance/bookkeeping.
• One year of experience as Membership Analyst I or in a Premera position with reconciliation experience.
• Health or insurance industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies; process refunds and premium transfers.
• Validate accounts receivable by reconciling group or individual premiums and memberships.
• Use Access/Excel reports to update eligibility, enrollment, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Meet department metrics for production and quality; stay current on policies and procedures.
