Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform moderate to complex reconciliation analysis and enrollment/billing issue resolution for Individual or Group accounts receivable.

You will use Access and Excel, maintain thorough notes, and work within Pacific/Mountain/Central time zones between 7am and 5pm PT, contributing to accuracy and customer satisfaction.

This role offers growth in healthcare finance, training, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree.
• One year experience as Membership Analyst I or similar reconciliation experience.
• Health or insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient funds issues.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive notes and update enrollment and eligibility records.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on membership and billing processes.
