Job summary

CVP seeks Medical Support Assistants (MSA) to support the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System, including Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa. This is a full-time remote role; candidates must live within 50 miles of the clinic and work Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM local time.

You will coordinate care between VA and community providers, schedule appointments, and ensure timely, quality patient care while using CPRS, VistA, HSRM, PPMS, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer use.
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or greater (typing test).
• Oral and written proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care between VA and community providers.
• Schedule appointments and manage pre- and post-appointment contacts.
• Process community care consults in HS RM and PPMS systems.
• Validate patient demographics and insurance information.
• Maintain CPRS, VistA and other VA software proficiency.
• Open/close clinics and track no-shows within 24 hours.
