Job summary

CVP is seeking a Medical Support Assistant to support the Western Colorado VA Health Care System from Grand Junction. This is a full-time remote role with the requirement to live within 50 miles of the Grand Junction VA Medical Center.

Daily hours are 800 AM to 430 PM local time, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities including coordinating care, scheduling, and processing community care consults. Ideal candidates bring high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of customer service

Qualifications

Reside within 50 miles of the Grand Junction VA Medical Center.
Coordinate and schedule appointments for Veterans and community care.
Proficient in VA software (CPRS, VistA, HSRM, PPMS) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Perform appointment scheduling, tracking, and pre- and post-appointment contacts.
Coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community providers.
Process community care consults via HS RM and PPMS.
Validate and update patient demographics and insurance.
Ensure data is entered into CPRS and VistA system.
Answer calls within 5 rings and maintain courteous communication.
Open and close clinics daily and update no-shows within 24 hours.
Protect patient privacy and ensure HIPAA compliance.
