Job summary

CVP is seeking a Medical Support Assistant to join our team supporting the Sheridan VA Health Care System in Sheridan, Wyoming. The role is primarily remote with occasional on-site support within 50 miles for training and any required visits.

You will coordinate care between VA and community providers, schedule appointments, and ensure timely care for Veterans. Must have at least 6 months of customer service, be proficient in MS Office, and possess basic medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must type at least 50 WPM (typing test).
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology; experience in the medical field required.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care between VA and community providers.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care.
• Process community care consults via HS RM/PPMS systems.
• Complete scheduling actions within 3 business days; target 20 actions per day.
• Protect patient privacy per HIPAA and VA regulations.
• Operate VA systems (VISTA, CPRS, CTM, HSRM, PPMS) and MS Office.
• Maintain patient demographics and contact information.
