Job summary

BCA Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Claim Collector to work remotely from the United States. You will determine causes of denial or non-payment and initiate documentation to resolve claims, following up until payment or recourse is exhausted.

Requires at least 2 years in medical billing and claims follow up. You will maintain records, verify insurance, contact carriers, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in healthcare revenue cycle with insurance billing and collections experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare insurance environment and reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls regarding insurance-related matters and document contacts on the collection system.
• Research and analyze accounts using historical data to resolve payment obstacles.
• Verify insurance benefits via contacts and insurance websites.
• Follow up on assigned claims and maintain up-to-date information across records.
• Engage managed care, governmental, and commercial carriers to expedite payment.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and relevant regulations.
