Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare revenue cycle with emphasis on insurance billing and follow-up.
• Deep understanding of healthcare insurance environments including managed care, government, and commercial carriers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with reimbursement methodologies (fee schedules, per diems,% of charges).
• Ability to identify coding considerations and communicate need for amendments to creditors clients

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls and document all interactions on the collection system.
• Research accounts and analyze historical data to resolve payment obstacles.
• Verify insurance benefits via various sources and update records accordingly.
• Maintain productivity and meet performance standards.
• Communicate with managed care, government, and commercial carriers to secure payment.
• Identify payor trends and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper handling of sensitive information
