Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Provider Practice Coding Consultant to guide healthcare professionals in improved coding practices and compliance. You'll review records, assign codes (CPT/ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS), and communicate with stakeholders to meet client needs.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials, have experience in high-volume coding, and can work remotely while maintaining strong time management and ethics in line with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume coding environment with CPT/ICD coding.
• Proficient in CPT II codes and coding guidelines.
• Ability to meet productivity and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign CPT/ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Conduct data quality reviews for compliance with guidelines.
• Communicate with hospital staff on clinical and reimbursement issues.
• Identify documentation improvement opportunities.
