Qualifications

• Know-how of medical clinics and clinical documentation required.
• Ability to locate FINs and link documents to veteran records in Cerner/Oracle.
• Ability to index documents by section, note title, date, and visit location.
• High-accuracy data entry and attention to detail expected.
• Active credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC or equivalent) required.
• Prior VA or federal healthcare coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately attaching images to electronic health record elements.
• Verify images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing.
• Locate FINs and link documents to the correct veteran record.
• Index documents with correct section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA on all work before submission.
