Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center with Medical Coders. The coder will attach images to EHR elements, verify uploads, locate FINs, and index documents with accuracy. Strong QA and data entry skills are essential, with experience in Cerner/Oracle or similar systems preferred.

Required credentials include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience in federal healthcare coding. Knowledge of MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of medical clinics and clinical documentation.
• Ability to locate FINs and link documents to veteran records in Cerner/Oracle.
• Ability to index documents with correct section, note title, date of service and visit location.
• Verify that images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing.
