Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is hiring a Medical Coder for The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The coder will attach images to EHRs, verify uploads, locate FINs, and index documents within veteran records with strict QA before submission.

Requirements include Cerner/Oracle experience, data entry skills, and active credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC). Prior VA or federal healthcare coding experience is preferred. Salary ranges apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with clinical documentation in medical records.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Cerner/Oracle or comparable EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Attach images to the correct EHR elements accurately.
• Verify images are legible and uploaded correctly.
• Locate FINs and link documents to veteran records.
• Index documents by section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA before submission.
