Posterity Group is hiring a Medical Coder for The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The coder will attach images to EHRs, verify uploads, locate FINs, and index records with precision. Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and hold a credential such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC. Prior VA/federal healthcare coding experience is highly preferred.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with VA or federal healthcare coding preferred
• Knowledge of Cerner/Oracle or comparable EHR systems preferred

Responsabilidades

• Attach images to electronic health record elements accurately
• Verify that images are uploaded correctly and legible for viewing
• Locate FINs and link documents to the correct veteran record
• Index documents within correct section, note title, date of service, and visit location
• Perform 100% internal QA on all work before submission
