Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is hiring a Medical Coder to support the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The role involves attaching images to EHR elements, verifying legibility, and accurately linking documents to veteran records in Cerner/Oracle.

Candidates should have knowledge of medical clinics, data entry skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel. At least 3 years of relevant experience and a VA/federal healthcare background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical coding and clinical documentation.
• Ability to locate FINs and link documents to veteran records.
• Attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Cerner/Oracle or similar EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attach images to electronic health record elements.
• Verify images are uploaded legibly and correctly.
• Locate Financial Identification Numbers (FINs) and link documents to veteran records.
• Index documents by section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Perform 100% internal QA on all work before submission.
