Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Coder – Clinic for the St. John Outpatient Center in St. John, IN. Under supervision, you will identify and assign diagnostic and procedure codes for patient encounters using ICD and CPT guidelines and perform charge entry and audits.

You should have a high school diploma, 1–2 years coding experience, and be prepared to use EPIC and Microsoft Office. Certification maintenance (CPC/CCS/RHIT) is preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years professional billing/coding experience; physician practice preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Certification maintenance (CPC/CCS/RHIT) preferred.
• Must demonstrate billing/coding competency via testing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign diagnostic and procedure codes for patient encounters using ICD and CPT guidelines.
• Perform charge entry, review, reconciliation, and error correction to ensure full and accurate charge capture.
• Conduct regular manual and electronic charge and coding audits.
• Maintain knowledge of coding rules, guidelines and classification systems.
