Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a remote contract role. You will assign ICD-10-CM-PCS and CPT-4 codes to inpatient charts, drawing on strong coding experience from hospital settings.

Qualifications include RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS certification and at least 3 years in inpatient medical record coding. Proficiency with 3M encoder and Epic software, and the ability to work independently from a private home office are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient medical record coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to use 3M encoder and Epic software with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM-PCS and CPT-4 codes to inpatient charts accurately.
• Abstract necessary data items and enter into encoder/Epic software.
• Complete UHDDS data abstraction as required.
• Maintain a work log and meet productivity targets.
• Operate in a remote work environment with minimal supervision.
