Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a skilled inpatient coder to join our remote/ Washington-based team. You will perform advanced coding for inpatient, observation, and ambulatory records, assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes, and support accurate billing.

Experience in 3M Coding Reimbursement, Epic, and CAC, plus AHIMA/AAPC CE, is highly regarded. This role is full-time, Mon-Fri, with remote work options and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AAS in Health Information Management or equivalent educ/experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of acute care inpatient coding background.
• Member of AHIMA or AAPC and maintain continuing education.
• Experience in 3M Coding Reimbursement / Epic System and Computer Assisted Coding.

Responsibilities

• Advanced coding of inpatient, observation, inpatient and ambulatory records, including ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT procedure codes.
• Handle Emergency Department encounters and related charging functions (E/M levels and charges).
• Codify other outpatient services as applicable.
