Synthires is seeking experienced Medical Coders to support AI training projects. You will review outpatient records, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and apply E/M guidelines to ensure accurate coding and medical necessity.

Responsibilities include annotating diverse outpatient encounters, identifying documentation gaps, and providing detailed coding feedback. This remote contractor role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Active CPC certification and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Experience applying outpatient E/M coding guidelines.
• Hands-on outpatient coding in physician offices or hospital outpatient settings.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate outpatient records for accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Apply E/M guidelines using appropriate decision-making or total-time methods.
• Ensure compliance with coding conventions and medical necessity.
• Link diagnoses to procedures and resolve documentation gaps.
