Job summary

Remotebridge seeks a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder to contribute to a project focused on AI-driven data accuracy. This remote US contractor role requires inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS expertise and active certification.

You will review documentation, assign accurate codes, and provide actionable feedback to improve model performance. Responsibilities include validating MS-DRG assignments, POA indicators, HACs, and interfacing with clinical teams to resolve coding discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Active certification in inpatient coding (CIC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or equivalent)
• Experience with inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coding
• Access to up-to-date coding references and guidance
• Currently working in inpatient medical coding or related role

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding per guidelines
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity
• Identify principal and secondary diagnoses and sequence codes per Official Guidelines
• Assign Present on Admission (POA) indicators
• Validate MS-DRG assignments, including CCs/MCCs and HACs
• Evaluate AI-generated notes against documentation and coding standards
• Code AI-generated information from records using ICD-10-CM/PCS
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity and actionable feedback
