Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Eden Prairie, MN seeks a skilled healthcare coder to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10, CPT and modifiers for facility services, adhere to AHIMA/AAPC guidelines, and maintain coding quality and productivity in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and AHIMA/AAPC certification maintained annually.
• 2+ years of ICD-10, CPT, facility charging and modifiers experience.
• 2+ years ER coding experience and familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate ICD-10 codes, CPT and modifiers for facility services per guidelines.
• Adhere to AHIMA and/or AAPC ethical coding standards.
• Maintain performance in coding quality and productivity as directed by QM/Director.
• Understand APC codes and Medicare policy guidelines.
• Query physicians and forms when clarification is needed.
