UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Coder to perform professional charge coding across diverse settings, ensuring accurate and compliant coding. The role supports remote work with training hours and EST/CST familiarity preferred.

You will transmit claims, resolve coding questions, and stay current with payer rules while supporting revenue operations. Requires a High School diploma, CPC/CCS-P/CPC-A, and 2+ years of physician-based coding experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications: CPC, CCS-P, or CPC-A.
• 2+ years of physician-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 for various settings.
• Prepare, review and transmit electronic and paper claims.
• Contact providers about coding issues and questions.
• Ensure codes are accurate and properly sequenced per regulations.
• Maintain productive performance and adhere to deadlines.
