Qualifications

• AHIMA/AAPC credentialing required and maintained annually.
• 2+ years ICD-10, CPT, facility charging, and modifiers experience.
• 2+ years ER coding experience.
• High School Diploma or GED; professional coder certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign ICD-10, CPT and modifiers per guidelines.
• Adhere to AAPC/HIM coding standards and client guidelines.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity targets.
• Query physicians when needed and stay updated on coding changes.
• Collaborate in coding department meetings and trainings.
