Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Remote - US Billing Representative to service customer accounts, ensure timely remittance, and contact payers to keep cash flow uninterrupted. The role emphasizes accurate billing and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, resolving patient billing issues, editing and resubmitting claims, and documenting activities in the ERP system. Strong MS Office skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette.
• Able to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Handles inquiries from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies.
• Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.
• Handles customer collection calls.
• Familiar with medical terminology and HCPC/ICD-9 codes.
• Documents activities in ERP system accurately and timely.
• Ensures the billing activity is handled correctly.
• Ability to evaluate and secure Rx’s, PA’s and medical justification to facilitate payment.
• Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment.
• Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to insurances.

Responsibilities

• Service customer needs by accurately billing accounts and assuring timely remittance.
• Follow-up with payers to maintain uninterrupted cash flow.
• Provide feedback to Group Team Lead regarding account issues.
