Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC in Corvallis, OR, is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulic Engineer to perform analyses of NSSS systems and support design advancement. You will use RELAP, ANSYS, and GOTHIC to evaluate system performance and transient events, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role demands strong written and oral communication, problem solving, and the ability to travel as required. A B.S. in Engineering and at least 2 years of thermal-hydraulic experience are expected. EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical).
• Minimum 2 years of full-time thermal-hydraulic engineering experience.
• Experience with RELAP, ANSYS, GOTHIC and data analysis.
• Knowledge of programming with Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of NSSS thermal-hydraulic systems using appropriate software.
• Prepare and review calculations and reports related to flow-induced vibration.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve design issues.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and oral formats.
