Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulics Engineer 4 to join the Nuclear Fuels organization. The role reports to the Manager, Thermal Hydraulics and collaborates with Nuclear Methods, Nuclear Design, and Code Development teams.

You will execute and review system-level TH evaluations using RELAP and VIPRE subchannel analyses, supporting reload safety analyses and SMR product development. Applicants should have a BS in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and at least 8 years of

Qualifications

• BS in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of full-time, directly relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in subchannel TH, transient analysis, and related safety analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify VIPRE subchannel analyses and CHF predictions.
• Prepare and verify RELAP TH evaluations (LOCA, transients).
• Evaluate designs to preserve safety margins and performance objectives.
• Lead cross-functional TH reviews for reload safety analyses and licensing deliverables.
• Develop licensed TH methods and implement analyses, and maintain modeling standards.
