Job summary

Boyd is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to join our sales team and drive revenue growth in the manufacturing sector. You will identify new customers, build relationships, educate on Boyd’s capabilities, and collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations to support sales initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 4–5 years of technical selling experience, with strong communication and strategic sales planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 4-5 years related experience or equivalent combination in a technical selling role with manufacturing industry experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and focus on growth.
• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, including market analysis and budgeting.
• Experience working with CRM software and other sales tools to track performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices to inform sales strategies.
• Directly engage at customer locations to win incremental business and travel as needed, including international travel.
• Manage the quotation process with Sales Operations to prepare formal quotations and maximize revenue and gross margin.
• Engage with customers on commercial topics including credit and shipping terms and negotiate agreements as needed.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to capture opportunities and communicate status.
